This place was absolutely incredible! I was blown away by the service, which was top-notch and truly went the extra mile. I came with a vegetarian friend, and the staff were stars, super helpful in suggesting and adjusting dishes to make them vegetarian-friendly, leaving us both grinning from ear to ear.
We dove into the ochazuke, big breakfast, curry karaage, and yasai udon, all phenomenal! A solid 10/10 in my book. The ochazuke especially stole the show; the tea soup had a flavor so perfectly balanced that I polished off the entire pot. Generous portions of salmon and soup, too, and the price was a steal compared to other spots I’ve tried, value for money that hits the nail on the head.
The only tiny hiccup was the bread in the big breakfast, which had a bit too much butter and felt slightly greasy, but honestly, that was just a minor blip. Overall, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, with a Kyoto-inspired interior that wrapped you up like a comforting hug.
The latte was on point, and the strawberry yogurt drink completely knocked my socks off, beautiful presentation and a taste that danced on my tongue. Being a huge strawberry fan, I was over the moon. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes next time; can’t wait to see what other gems they have up their sleeve!
